New Idaho Law Changes Primary Care Access for Minors

Updated: Sep 13

To comply with Idaho law, which takes effect July 1, 2024, parent/guardian consent is required for all healthcare services provided to minors. If you are between the ages of 14 and 17 and previously sought services independently, please note a parent/guardian must be present to sign consent at your next appointment. The Parental Rights in Medical Decision-Making statute at Idaho Code § 32-1015 requires informed consent from parents for the treatment of minors.
